Nevada Gaming Commission Blocks Cheating Plans

Nevada Gaming Control Board’s executive department responded to a licensee’s self-report and investigated a group of individuals who allegedly cheated on the game multiple times.

On Dec. 1, 2021, Cosmopolitan, Las Vegas, contacted the board agent to report a casino loss totaling $180,000 due to a suspected dice sliding in an electronic Crabbs game. The board agent identified four people suspected of cheating on Crabbs based on their video surveillance and slot tracking player accounts. One target, in particular, was to place a bet, signal the group, and then illegally slide the dice across the Crabbs table to control the outcome of the game. Between Nov. 23 and Dec. 1, 2021, the co-conspirator performed several activities, fraudulently obtaining a total of $226,948 from Cosmopolitan, Las Vegas.

Following the completion of the executive branch’s criminal investigation, board members issued arrest warrants for Antcharaporn Kamonlert, Hau Ngo, Max Rapoport, and Oscar Rodriguez on charges of cheating, illegal activities regarding computers, and conspiracy. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 1, 2023, at Las Vegas Court of Justice, with everyone presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

“The board thanks licensees who report suspicious activities and potential gaming offenses,” said Kristi Torgerson, the board’s executive director. “The executive branch will continue to be aggressive in investigation and secrecy to ensure that the gaming industry is free from criminal elements in a relentless effort to protect the integrity of regulated gaming in Nevada.”

The enforcement department is the law enforcement department of the board, employing approximately 90 sworn peace officers, certified by the Peace Officer Standards and Training Council, and then specially trained for the gaming industry.

“Anyone who cheats on Nevada’s gaming industry cheats on all of its citizens,” said board president Kirk Hendrick. “As a result, all alleged irregularities will be investigated and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.” 바카라사이트 추천
