Outside hitter Jung Sung-kyu, 25, of the men’s professional volleyball team Woori Card

has realized a dream.

The Jinju, Gyeongnam

and he will take the mound at Sajik Stadium in Busan on Sept. 26 to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

“The first time I received a DM (direct message) on the Lotte Giants’ official SNS,” he said

laughing

I thought it was an impersonation at first because they didn’t seem to have anything to do with me.

The offer was so unexpected that even those around him said

Why would they (Lotte) ask you to do the pitch?

Jung Sung-kyu has always been an avid Lotte fan 지울프-토토 often commenting on social media

and when the team’s event team realized this

they directly contacted him via DM.

Jeong Seong-gyu immediately contacted the Woori Card club

he was able to pitch his dream on the mound at Sajik Stadium in Busan on the 26th.

He laughed, sayingI practice a lot, but if I’m nervous, I can hit the ball, so I have to be careful.”

Jung Sung-kyu, who picked veteran outfielder Jeon Jun-woo as his favorite Lotte player, said it was “the honor of the family.”
