GSW ‘perfect replacement for Wiggins’, Moody’s performance makes GSW smile
Moody is finally showing his true colors.
The Golden State Warriors defeated the Toronto Raptors 120-105 in the 2023-2024 NBA regular season on Sunday night (Feb. 2) at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Ace Steph Curry led the way with 25 points and six assists, while Jonathan Cuming added 24 points and six rebounds in the win.
Golden State had an evenly distributed offense on the night, with five players scoring in double figures, including 텍사스홀덤사이트 Curry and Kuminga.
The standout was undoubtedly Moses Mudiay. Moody had a solid performance with 17 points and five rebounds.
Golden State has been without Andrew Wiggins lately. Wiggins left the team for personal reasons due to family issues.
Wiggins is the starting forward for Golden State and is a big part of their offense and defense. While he’s struggled offensively this season, he’s still a force on defense. While Kuminga has been growing and filling the void left by Wiggins, it’s a big loss for Golden State.
That’s where Moody comes in. Moody stepped into the starting lineup after Wiggins’ departure. He started playing in the starting lineup against the Washington Wizards on February 28, and has played well in all three games.
He’s been especially strong on defense. As I mentioned earlier, Wiggins’ presence on defense was huge. Moody’s defense has been nothing short of spectacular.
Against the New York Knicks, he defended ace Jaylen Brunson, and against Toronto, he was active on the help defense.
Offensively, he’s been great, too. In his three games as a starter, Moody has averaged 12.3 points and four rebounds per game. Moody has been knocking down three-pointers in every game, helping Golden State with spacing.
Golden State is riding a wave of momentum, going 11-2 in its last 13 games. Currently in 10th place in the Western Conference, the Warriors are within striking distance of the sixth and final playoff spot. Moody’s play has more than made up for the loss of Wiggins, which could have been a crisis.
The question is, how far will Moody and Golden State continue to go?
