Pennsylvania Game Control Fines Casino Operator

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board approved a consent agreement in a public meeting earlier this week that would fine individuals $10,000 for two cases of accessing restricted areas of casino facilities.

The commission also took steps to ban eight adults from all casinos in the Commonwealth for neglecting a total of 16 children to gamble.

The approved consent is the result of negotiations between the Executive Advisory Committee (OEC) and Stadium Casino RE, LLC, the first agreement between the OEC and the main operator since the opening of the casino in January 2021.

In the first case, a woman entered numerous restricted areas of casinos and hotels and stole employees’ items. In the second case, three casino customers entered an unsecured restricted area and were denied access to the casino floor.

A copy of the approved consent agreement providing details on this matter will be provided upon request through the communications office of the Pennsylvania Game Control Board.

The commission’s action against adults who decide to leave their children unattended is a reminder that adults are prohibited from leaving minors in parking lots, garages, hotels, or other locations in casinos because they create potentially unsafe and dangerous conditions for children. Neglecting minors in Pennsylvania casinos is not only excluded from all Pennsylvania casinos, but also subject to criminal prosecution for adults who commit crimes.
