Japan Wins 6-1 Against Jordan In Closed-Door Warm-up Match
Japan won a five-goal victory in the warm-up match against Jordan, the opponent of Klinsmann’s 2023 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup.
Japan, led by head coach Moriyasu Hajime, defeated Jordan 6-1 in a closed exhibition match held at Al-Ersal Stadium in Doha, Qatar on Tuesday. Japan, which had a landslide 5-0 victory against Thailand in its first exhibition match of the new year at the Tokyo National Stadium on March 1, raised expectations with its team’s winning streak ahead of the opening of the Asian Cup on April 12.
Japan is considered the most likely candidate to win the title at this year’s event. As for the upcoming match, the team could meet Korea led by Jürgen Klinsmann in the final. Many predict that the match against Japan will be the biggest obstacle for the team, which is aiming to win the title for the first time in 64 years at this Asian Cup since the 1960 event.
