NBA Milwaukee Wins First Game After Dismissing Coach
The Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association NBA won their first game since their dismissal.
Milwaukee won 126-116 in the 2023-2024 NBA regular league game against the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Payserve Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on the 25th thanks to Yanis Antetokounmpo’s triple-double performance.
Milwaukee 31 wins and 13 losses, which has won three consecutive games, ranked second in the Eastern Conference after the Boston Celtics 34 wins and 10 losses. The gap between the two teams is three games.
Yannis Antetokounmpo had a triple-double with 35 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists. He recorded his seventh of the season with a triple-double in three of his four recent games.
Milwaukee had its first game after dismissing Adrian Griffin the day before. Without a coach on that day, coach Joe Fronti sat on the bench as acting coach.
Despite its good performance of ranking second at the conference, Milwaukee replaced Griffin, who took the helm in June last year, in a surprise move for the first time in seven months. He packed his bags after 43 games.
“Our mission is to evaluate the team every day and determine whether it is performing the best,” Milwaukee general manager John Host said. “We have made changes so that the team can show their talents better.”
According to the U.S. sports media ESPN, former Philadelphia 76ers coach Doc Rivers has agreed in principle to replace him.
Attention is focusing on Milwaukee’s move, which has a super-strong goal of replacing its coach in a situation where it was doing well.
Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors beat the Atlanta Hawks 134-112.
Golden State played for the first time after Serbian coach Dejan Milojevic suddenly died of a heart attack on the 18th. The last two games have been postponed. With the players of both teams together, they had a time to remember coach Milojevic. 안전놀이터
Seven players, including Jonathan Kuminga, Stephen Curry 25 points and Klay Thompson 24 points, contributed the victory to coach Milojevic by scoring double digits.
