Pedi Ear Flexendo KBO pitchers make a splash in the first game of the MLB season

Chicago White Sox Chris Flexen

Chris Flexen (Chicago White Sox), who played for the Doosan Bears, performed poorly in his first pitching game in the 2024 season of the Major League Baseball (MLB).

Flexen started the 2024 MLB home game against the Atlanta Braves held at Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago, Illinois, USA on the 2nd (Korean time) and collapsed with 6 hits, 3 walks, 1 strikeout, and 4 runs in 4⅓ innings, becoming the losing pitcher.

Flexen gave up the first run with two hits and an infield grounder in the top of the third inning when the game was tied 0-0, and with no outs in the fourth inning, he hit a timely double with two RBIs to Orlando Arcia to left center with runners on second and third base.

As Flexen faltered, allowing a walk and a hit in the 5th inning when the team was down 0-3, the White Sox bench replaced pitchers on first and second base with one out.

Flexen’s earned run average increased to 4 as the successor scored. Additionally, the team lost 0-9 and became the losing pitcher.

Flexen, who played for Doosan in the KBO League in 2020, returned to MLB by signing with the Seattle Mariners the following year, and wrote the success story of a ‘reverse export player’ by recording 14 wins, 6 losses, and an ERA of 3.61 in the 2021 season.

Afterwards, he went to the Colorado Rockies and joined the White Sox starting rotation this year.

In addition to Flexen, the White Sox starting lineup for the 2024 season includes one more pitcher from the KBO League.

Eric Fedida received the KBO League Most Valuable Player Award (MVP) last year.

After posting a record of 20 wins, 6 losses, and an ERA of 2.00 for the NC Dinos last year, Peddie wore the White Sox uniform for two years and $15 million.

Peddie started against the Detroit Tigers on the 1st, his return to MLB, and failed to record a win or loss, allowing 5 hits, 7 strikeouts, and 2 runs in 4⅔ innings. 섯다
