Mohegan Sun Celebrates Grand Opening With Star-Studded Lineup

Some of the music industry’s greatest legends will be under one roof from June 21 to 23 to celebrate the opening of the luxurious Mohegan Sun Hotel and Elemis Spa on the Mohegan Line. Performances by Rosie O’Donnell, Cher, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, and the Blues Brothers are all part of a weekend of festivities that are expected to attract celebrities, VIPs, and high rollers alike.

“We’re excited to be hosting what will be one of the most remarkable events in entertainment history,” said Mitchell Ethis, vice president of marketing at the Mohegan Sun. “We’ve built a destination that’s second to none, especially in the Northeast, and we’re looking forward to making it official.” 바카라사이트

The star-studded weekend will begin on Friday night, June 21, with a sold-out concert by pop icon Cher (the opening Cindy Roper) at the 10,000-seat Mohegan Sun Arena, followed by a 90-minute performance by The Blues Brothers (Dan Aykroyd and Jim Belushi) at Wolf Den, the centerpiece venue within Mohegan Sun’s Casino on Earth. On Saturday night, June 22, Rosie O’Donnell will make a special appearance, marking her first stand-up performance since retiring from her immensely popular Emmy-winning television show. She will perform in the Uncas Ballroom in Mohegan Sun, which is the largest in the Northeast at 40,000 square feet. Following Rosie’s performance, two American music legends, Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin, will be paired up to stage together for the first time in more than two decades. Audiences can expect additional surprise appearances by famous musicians and celebrities. All performances except Cher and The Blues Brothers are private invitations.
