The official name of the LPGA Tour tournament named after Korean women’s golf legend Pak Se-ri (47) has been confirmed.
The LPGA Tour announced on the 10th (Korean time) that the name of the golf tournament named after Se-ri Pak has been decided as the ‘Fur Hills Se-ri Pak Championship.’ The title sponsor is investment firm Fir Hills. 안전 토토사이트
This tournament will be held for four days starting March 22nd at Palos Verdes Golf Club near Los Angeles (LA), California, USA. The total prize money is $2 million (about 2.6 billion won), an increase of $250,000 (about 300 million won) from last year, and 144 players will compete.
This tournament, which was held as the Dio Implant LA Open until last year, was held under a new name this year with Se-ri Pak taking on the role of host. The only LPGA tour tournaments where a former player serves as host are Annika Driven by Gainbridge at Pelican (Annika Sorenstam) and Mizuho Americas Open (Michelle Wie).
The OK Financial Group Pak Se-ri Invitational has been held on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf (KLPGA) Tour, but this is the first time in history that a tournament named for a Korean player has been held on the LPGA Tour.
Se-ri Pak said through the LPGA Tour, “I am honored to return to the LPGA Tour as a tournament host,” and added, “Advising the next generation of golfers and giving back to the golf I love is at the core of everything I do.”
Se-ri Pak, who entered the LPGA Tour in 1998, recorded a total of 25 wins before retiring in 2016. 슬롯사이트
