ITALIAN SOCCER LEGEND MALDINI-TOTTI VISITS KOREA TO PROMOTE ‘LEGENDS ALL-STAR GAME’
Italian soccer legends Paulo Maldini and Francesco Totti are visiting Korea. Maldini and Totti will arrive in South Korea on Nov. 21 and stay for two days and three nights to promote the ‘Legends All-Star Game’ scheduled to be held next month, Lashing City Group announced on Nov. 18.Maldini, who played as a world-class defender during his active career, is known as the “one-club man” of the prestigious Italian club AC Milan .He played 25 seasons with the club, winning seven Serie A titles, five UEFA Champions League titles, and one FIFA Club World Cup. Until recently, he served as Milan’s director of football .He also has strong ties to South Korea. Wore the captain’s armband and started the round of 16 match between South Korea and Italy at the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup. Maldini had played in four consecutive World Cups before the Korea-Japan tournament. He has 126 caps and seven goals. Totti also played in the Korea-Japan World Cup and helped Italy win the 2006 World Cup in Germany. Totti is also a one-club man. The AS Roma youth team product has played for the same club for nearly 30 years. Maldini and Totti, who will participate in the Legends All-Star Game at Gyeonggi Goyang Sports Complex on March 21, will travel to South Korea a month in advance to promote the event, holding press conferences, fan meetings, and filming TV entertainment programs. Tickets for the Legends All-Star Game will be available for purchase at Interpark Tickets starting on May 25.
